Personalized guidance and resources tailored for your family’s needs. Let us help you find a way forward.

Are you having difficulty finding your way through the mental healthcare system?

Our Wayfinder service is designed to help.

Accessing mental healthcare for your child, finding the right provider, knowing how to communicate effectively with your child’s team, getting an accurate diagnosis and successful treatment, managing parenting challenges, and communicating with friends and family about your child’s illness are just some of the overwhelming tasks parents have to navigate when their child lives with a mental illness.

But you don’t have to do it alone.

Think of CMHRC’s Wayfinder service as bespoke case management for your family’s journey through the mental healthcare system. Are you struggling to understand a diagnosis and its treatments? Worrying your child isn’t getting the services they need? Having a hard time getting your provider to hear your medication concerns? Looking for other parents with shared experience to connect with? Wondering whether there’s a better way to manage your child’s symptoms at home?

We at CMHRC have shepherded countless families through this process and given them the priceless gift of hope. Through the Wayfinder service, families receive the individualized attention and support they need while developing an ongoing relationship with our expert staff who are uniquely positioned to understand your family’s needs. In addition to being licensed mental and physical healthcare professionals, all of our staff also share the lived experience of caring for a loved one with a mental illness.

Whether you need help to understand a specific diagnosis and its implications, figure out ways to talk to your child’s teachers about accommodations, are looking for safe and effective lifestyle interventions to support treatment, need information on medications and their side effects, or just don’t want to face these challenges alone, we can help.

The Wayfinder service exists to provide an environment designed for success. Families experience more positive outcomes when we are able to surround them with ongoing comprehensive service.

Designed to support you on your journey, the Wayfinder service brings comfort to families that have been isolated for too long. Having knowledgeable and experienced professionals in your corner who also understand and share your personal experience with mental illness changes everything.
